    Keynote Speakers and Must-Attend Sessions

We’re kicking off ASCEND with a keynote breakfast on Wednesday morning featuring Solver’s CEO Nils Rasmussen, CTO Mike Applegate, and VP of Solutions Engineering Stephanie Johnstone. Expect an inside look at where the industry is heading, what Solver’s been up to, and what’s coming next.

New this year: extended two-hour breakout sessions on Wednesday morning, built for hands-on learning. These deep dives cover everything from building better charts and customizing line item details to working smarter in Excel and managing smoother migrations. If you’ve ever wanted more time in a session to actually do the thing—this is it.

One of the most anticipated breakouts is “Accelerate your Finance AI Journey: Demystify the Risks, Understand What’s Possible,” which breaks down how Generative and Predictive AI work, why data structure matters, and how to start thinking about AI and ML in a way that’s actually actionable for your team. You’ll also get real examples of how Solver customers are already putting these tools to work.

Other sessions will cover topics such as, advanced reporting, security and permissions, and ways to use Solver outside of the finance department—like planning headcount, tracking operational KPIs, or managing performance across departments.

Every session is packed with practical tips and takeaways you can bring back to the office.

    Hands-On Learning Opportunities

For those who want to deepen their Solver expertise, the pre-conference training workshops on Monday, August 11 and Tuesday, August 12 offer a focused, hands-on learning experience. Each full-day session is tailored to specific experience levels—Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced—so you can build skills at the right pace.

These workshops cover everything from reporting and planning to chart design and data management. You’ll also have access to three exclusive sessions only available at ASCEND:

These are designed to help you get into the details, solve real challenges, and return to work with tools and takeaways you can apply immediately.
