“I love the Solver product. It's taken us a long time to get a lot of things going because we don't have dedicated resources on our end. But the vision I have and the progress Solver is making just gets me really excited about the potential. In one word, I would say Solver is awesome.”

00:05 Before BI360, we used to complete our budget and basically all of our reporting using Excel spreadsheets, which
00:12 was very time-consuming, very manual, and very prone to errors. We were looking for a way to
00:19 centralize our data because we have several systems where we pull data from and improve the accuracy and speed of
00:26 producing that information. The BI360 solution has definitely
00:34 helped us address those challenges. We're still working through some of those things, but we're now saving a lot of time because we're able
00:43 to consolidate a lot of our budgeting data and our reporting data. So we're spending less time compiling and
00:51 consolidating, and that gives us more time to actually analyze and formulate recommendations for management.
01:00 The Solver team was very instrumental in getting us started with our budget solution
01:08 and our data warehouse. They helped us with planning everything. They spent time with us to understand
01:16 what my vision was for our reporting in the long term because one of the things I wanted to make sure of was that we
01:24 weren't doing a lot of rework later on. I wanted to make sure that we were developing with the long-term vision in mind, and so they were very patient and
01:32 helpful in helping us understand all of the requirements that we would have long term and how we should think about
01:40 structuring our data and all those types of things. So they were very, very helpful.

01:48 The credit union has multiple data sources. We have our core processing system, which is basically our banking platform, and that's where most of the
01:56 data resides. But we do have a separate loan origination system for our mortgages, and so that contains
02:05 a significant amount of data because that's the product that we originate most. We also have a third party
02:13 that services all of our mortgages, and so we don't have a system where all that information is tracked. We're basically
02:21 obtaining data from our third-party partner and then dumping it into other systems. So there are a lot of other
02:29 systems in the organization, but I would say those are the three primary, largest systems where we're compiling data.
02:36 I love the BI360 product. It's taken us a long time to get a lot of things going because we don't
02:45 have dedicated resources on our end. But the vision I have and the progress that Solver is making to develop BI360
02:53 just gets me really excited about the potential. In one word, I would say BI360 is awesome.
03:04 Thank you.
From Manual Spreadsheets to a Centralized System
The Problem
Before Solver, Logix relied on Excel spreadsheets to complete budgeting and reporting, a process that was time-consuming, manual, and prone to errors. Data lived across several disconnected systems, making it difficult to centralize and produce information quickly.
The Solution
Logix implemented Solver to centralize budgeting and reporting data from multiple systems, including its core banking platform and loan origination system. Solver's team worked closely with Logix to design a long-term reporting structure and minimize future rework.
The Result
Logix now spends less time compiling and consolidating budgeting and reporting data, freeing the finance team to focus more time on analysis and building recommendations for leadership.
