0:07 My two favorite features in Solver would have to be the ability to aggregate across dimensions that come across from our ERP, as well as the reporting and the familiarity that the kind of Excel-based reporting gives.

0:24 Solver's done a lot for us to improve efficiency, both inside the finance department and more broadly across the organization.
0:31 Within the department, before we used Solver, we used Adaptive, which was a bit bulky and cumbersome, and the reporting was pretty limited to the finance department.
0:39 Switching to Solver gave us a lot more flexibility to report both within the department across different fields and data sources, and also outside of it.
0:53 It saved a lot of time and provided a lot of impactful results.
1:03 I describe Solver as both flexible and intuitive.
From Manual Spreadsheets to Streamlined Insights
The Problem
Education Analytics relied on Adaptive for financial planning and reporting, but the system was bulky and limited primarily to the finance department. The team resorted to manual, home-built reporting using custom code and Excel spreadsheets.
The Solution
Education Analytics replaced Adaptive with Solver, using its Data Warehouse to aggregate data across dimensions from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The familiar Excel-based reporting interface gave finance and non-finance teams the flexibility to build and customize their own reports.
The Result
Reporting is no longer confined to finance. Stakeholders across the organization now get faster, more transparent access to financial data, and the team has cut the manual work that reporting used to require, freeing time for higher-value analysis.
