Solver Copilot Analysis Agent: Now Generally Available

One of the most significant enhancements in this general availability release is Solver Copilot Analysis Agent, which elevates data analysis by delivering faster, deeper, and more proactive insights, along with reports and input templates to strengthen budgeting and forecasting.

The AI-enabled capabilities include anomaly detection, trend and root cause analysis, narrative summarization, predictive recommendations, and comprehensive reasoning. Finance teams spend considerable time entering budget data, adjusting forecasts, and updating planning assumptions. Now, Solver Copilot Analysis Agent can provide intelligent assistance to analyze data.

Ask questions about your data while you're entering it. Get explanations for unexpected values. Identify patterns across budget line items. Solver Copilot Analysis Agent brings contextual intelligence right to your fingertips, exactly when you need it.

Whether you're building annual budgets, updating rolling forecasts, or adjusting departmental plans, Solver Copilot Analysis Agent is there to help you understand your data and make more informed decisions. To enable, customer admins must turn it on for their tenant. Existing customers can reach out to Solver support for assistance.

    Part of Solver's AI-First Initiative

Solver Copilot represents the foundation of Solver's comprehensive AI-first strategy, announced at ASCEND 2025. This strategy drives innovation across the entire Solver platform, enabling every stakeholder to make data-driven decisions with intelligent assistance.

Solver consolidates knowledge from multiple sources and connects with virtually any data system, including ERP platforms like Acumatica, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage Intacct, Oracle NetSuite, SAP, and more. This means Solver Copilot can understand all key data sources for a single source of truth to analyze your data.

Industries across the board benefit from these specialized AI assistants. Whether you are in the nonprofit, SaaS, retail, manufacturing, distribution, construction, healthcare, or senior living industry, Solver Copilot adapts to your specific needs and challenges.

How to Use AI Effectively: Getting the Best Results from Solver Copilot

AI is a powerful tool, but like any tool, knowing how to use it properly makes all the difference. Here's how to get the most value from Solver Copilot.

    • Be specific with your questions. Vague questions get vague answers. Instead of asking "What's happening with sales?", try "What caused the 15% variance in Q4 sales for the Northeast region compared to budget?"
    • The more context you provide, the more targeted and useful Copilot's response will be. Include time periods, specific accounts or dimensions, and what you're trying to understand.
    • Start Broad, Then Narrow If you're exploring an unfamiliar area, start with a general question to get oriented, then follow up with more specific queries. For example, first ask "What are the key drivers of gross margin variance this quarter?" Then dig deeper: "Show me the top 3 product lines contributing to the margin compression."
    • Provide Context for Complex Questions When asking about variance analysis or trend identification, let Copilot know what you already know or what you're concerned about. "Our COGS increased 8% this month but revenue only grew 3%. What's driving this margin compression?" gives the Analysis Agent the context it needs to provide relevant insights.
    • Ask for Explanations, Not Just Data Solver Copilot excels at interpretation, not just data retrieval. Instead of "Show me expense trends," ask "Why did operating expenses spike in March, and is this a one-time event or part of a pattern?"
    • Use Follow-Up Questions Think of Copilot as a conversation partner. After receiving an initial response, ask follow-up questions to dig deeper. "What about the West region specifically?" or "How does this compare to last year's pattern?" helps you build a complete understanding.
    • Leverage Input Template Assistance When working in input templates, ask Copilot to validate your assumptions or explain unexpected values. "This department is requesting a 25% budget increase. What drove their spend last year?" can help you make better budget allocation decisions.

The Future of AI for Planning is Here

Finance teams have waited years for technology that truly understands their work. Generic AI chatbots don't know xFP&A. Standard business intelligence tools can't explain why your numbers look the way they do. Solver Copilot Analysis Agent bridges this gap.

As we continue developing new agents and capabilities, you'll see AI intelligence woven throughout the Solver platform, making every task faster, every decision more informed, and every insight more actionable.
