Web budgeting performance issue

Post by rthousand » Tue Oct 23, 2018 2:02 pm

Hello,

We moved from Excel-based budgeting to Web Budgeting this year and, for the most part, were pleased. We did encounter performance issues that were somewhat rectified by creating a script that runs overnight to delete all records from HistoryItems table in OSR_Repository database on SQL server (based on this KB article: https://support.solverglobal.com/index. ... eout-error).

We still continue to have issues if we are making multiple changes to different cost centers, as each budget "save" creates a new version of the report. The more versions we create, the more often IE crashes and we need to exit and log back into the system.

Is there a way to disable the report versions feature or set a maximum number of versions to keep as a way to resolve this issue?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

there is no way to disable the myrecent (historyItems) feature. The best way to overcome this is set an hourly trigger on the database to remove the entries from this table.
